What is Directory Sync?

Directory Sync / SCIM Provisioning allows you to automatically sync your employee data from Google Workspace or Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) into 5Mins. Your Customer Success contact sends you a secure integration link to connect your directory - see Integration with Microsoft Entra ID for the Microsoft steps. This ensures your employee list stays up-to-date without manual data entry.

📅 How often does data sync?

• Ongoing updates: Changes are picked up when your directory provider reports them through our integration partner
• Daily full sync: Once a day, 5Mins checks every synced employee so nothing is missed

🤔 What happens when an employee leaves?

When someone is deactivated in your directory:

1. Their 5Mins account is automatically deactivated on the next sync
2. They lose access once their account is deactivated
3. Their learning history is preserved in our backend. You can ask for that data via Customer Success team

🔄 What if we restructure our organisation?

Directory Sync handles changes gracefully:

• New employees: Automatically added on next sync
• Email changes: Automatically updated on next sync
• Name changes: Automatically updated on next sync
