Jump Levels: Fast-Track Your Learning Journey

What is the Jump Levels Feature?

The Jump Levels feature allows you to skip ahead in your learning journey based on your existing knowledge. Instead of starting from Level 1 in every skill, you can now take an assessment to potentially advance to higher levels immediately.

Finding the Assessment

  1. If you're currently on Level 1 or Level 2 of a skill that offers the Jump Levels feature, you'll see a "Fast Track" banner at the top of the skill page.

  2. Click on this banner to begin the assessment process.

Taking the Assessment

  1. The assessment consists of 12-14 questions designed to evaluate your current knowledge of the skill.

  2. You can complete the assessment in one sitting or across multiple sessions.

  3. The questions are challenging by design to accurately gauge your proficiency level.

Assessment Results and Placement

Based on your performance in the assessment, you'll be placed at an appropriate level:

*Your placement depends on the specific skill structure:

  • For skills with a certificate at Level 3, you'll be placed at the Advanced Certificate level

  • For skills without certificates at Level 3, you'll be placed at Level 4

What Happens After the Assessment?

  1. You'll automatically be placed at your new level.

  2. Any levels you've skipped will be marked as completed, and you'll receive the appropriate skill points for those levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I miss important content by skipping levels?
A: While you'll skip ahead, you can always go back and review the content from earlier levels. The Jump Levels feature is designed for users who already have knowledge in a particular skill and want to avoid repeating basics they already know.

Q: Can I take the assessment again if I don't score well?
A: Currently, the assessment can only be taken once per skill. If you don't achieve the score you hoped for, you can still progress through the levels in the traditional way.

Q: Are all skills eligible for Jump Levels?
A: No, only selected skills offer the Jump Levels feature. If a skill has this option, you'll see the Fast Track banner at the top of the skill page.

Q: What if I'm already above Level 2 in a skill?
A: The Jump Levels feature is only available for users currently at Level 1 or Level 2 of a skill.
