How to Create Your Account and Complete Onboarding

Welcome to 5mins.ai! Getting started is quick and easy. Here's everything you need to know about creating your account and personalizing your learning experience.

Logging In

When you visit 5mins.ai, you'll see a login page with "Hello 👋" at the top and the message "Log in or Sign up to continue learning."

Choose the appropriate option:

  • Login - if you already have an account

  • Sign up - if you need to create an account

You can log in using:

  • Google

  • Microsoft

  • Apple

  • Email and password

Forgot your password? If you use email and password login, there's a "Forgot your password?" link that will send a password reset email to your registered email address.

Email Verification (Email/Password Users Only)

If you sign up using email and password, you'll be taken to a verification screen that shows "We've sent a verification email to [your email address]" and asks you to "Please verify your email to continue."

On this screen you can:

  • Click "Resend Email" if you don't receive the verification email

  • Click "Continue" to check if your email has been verified

  • Use the quick links to open Gmail or Outlook directly

Common Issues:

Verification email not delivered:

  • Check your spam/junk folders

  • Wait 5-10 minutes before requesting a resend

  • Ensure your email provider isn't blocking emails from 5mins.ai

  • Try the "Resend Email" button

Stuck on verify email page:

  • Click "Continue" after verifying your email in another tab

  • The system automatically checks verification status

  • Try refreshing the page if "Continue" doesn't work

  • Clear your browser cache if issues persist

Onboarding Process

After email verification (or immediately after SSO login), you'll go through these setup steps:

  1. Let's get started! - Enter your first name, last name, and company name

  2. About You - Select your role, responsibility level, and function

  3. Skills Selection - Choose skills you want to develop and your current levels

  4. Interests - Pick topics that interest you for personalized recommendations

  5. Learning Goal - Set your weekly learning goal

  6. Finished - Setup complete, ready to start learning

Onboarding Notes:

  • You can go back to previous steps but cannot skip steps

  • If your onboarding gets interrupted, you can continue from where you left off when you return to the session or log in

  • You can change all these settings later in your Profile settings

  • Some steps may be hidden depending on your organization's configuration

After Setup

Once onboarding is complete, you'll have access to:

  • For You: Daily personalized recommendations based on your selected role and skills

  • Your Workspace: Courses assigned to you or courses you've enrolled in yourself
