Connecting Your HR System with Merge

5Mins.ai uses Merge (merge.dev), a trusted unified-integration platform, to connect to your HR and directory systems. This lets us automatically sync your people into 5Mins so accounts, roles, and teams stay up to date — without manual uploads.

What it does

  • Syncs employees from your HRIS or directory (e.g. Workday, BambooHR, UKG, Azure AD, Google Workspace).

  • Maps job titles to 5Mins roles and keeps team and division membership in sync.

  • Keeps users current as people join, move teams, or change titles.

How you connect it

An admin connects through Merge Link, Merge's secure hosted authorization flow:

  1. From your HRIS integration settings, start the connection.

  2. You're taken to Merge's hosted screen to authorize your HR system.

  3. Once authorized, the connection is active and 5Mins begins syncing.

Why it's secure

  • We never see your HR system's credentials. Authorization happens entirely within Merge's hosted flow. Your HR system's passwords and API keys never reach 5Mins.

  • Read-only, one-way sync. Data flows into 5Mins only. We read employee and team records — we never write back to your HR system.

  • Scoped per organization. The connection is tied to your tenant and authorizes access only to the data needed to sync your people.

  • Backed by Merge's security posture. Merge is SOC 2 Type II compliant and purpose-built for handling sensitive HR data across hundreds of integrations.

Note: You stay in control. You can disconnect the integration at any time from your HRIS integration settings to stop syncing.
