05. Manage enrolments in bulk
Manage enrolments in bulk
This is for admins who have people enrolled and now need to act on lots of them at once. By the end you will be able to select enrolment rows on a course and run a single action across all of them, from sending reminders to editing repeat rules.
Before you start
- Finish article, Target the right learners: cohorts and people filters, so you have real enrolments to work with.
- Open the course whose enrolments you want to manage, and know which people you are acting on before you start ticking.

Steps shown in this video
- Open a course, and its Enrolments tab lists everyone taking it
- This is where you manage enrolments once they're live, not just create them
- Tick a few people, and a bar of bulk actions appears
- Send a reminder to everyone you've selected in one go
- Open Actions for the rest
- Extend a due date, restart, unenrol, or change the repeat rules for all of them at once
The steps
- Open Content & Courses in the admin sidebar, then open the course you want to manage.
- Go to the course's Enrolments tab. You will see the enrolled people listed as rows.
- Tick one or more enrolment rows. As soon as a row is selected, an action bar appears.
- In the action bar, use Download report to export a report for the selected people, or Send Reminder to nudge them.
- Open the Actions menu for the rest. It contains Extend due date, Edit start date, Restart enrolment, Edit repeat rules, and Unenrol.
- Pick the action you need. It applies to every row you ticked, so you handle the whole selection in one move rather than person by person.
What you should see now
Your chosen action has been applied across every enrolment row you selected. Whether you shifted due dates, restarted enrolments, or changed how often the course repeats, it landed on the whole group at once.
Common questions
Where do I set how often a course repeats?
Repeat rules are edited here, in bulk, from the Actions menu on the Enrolments tab, using Edit repeat rules. They are not set during the initial enrolment wizard, so this is the place to come back to when the cadence needs to change.
What is the difference between Extend due date and Edit start date?
Extend due date moves the deadline the selected people are working towards. Edit start date changes when the enrolment begins. Both apply to every ticked row.
How do I act on just a few people, not the whole course?
Tick only the rows you want. The action bar and Actions menu act on your current selection, so you stay in control of exactly who is affected.
